I had 4 years of latin in a Catholic High School in the mid sixties but don’t remember too
much of it. But to say the rosary in latin, really you only have to be able to say four
prayers in latin to be able to say the whole rosary in latin: The Apostles Creed (which you
say on the cross as you start the rosary), The Our Father (it’s the separate bead between
the groups of ten), The Hail Mary (there are 5 sets of 10 each on the rosary), so you say
it 50 times, plus the 3 after the Apostles Creed at the beginning of the rosary, and the
Glory Be to the Father (this prayer is said after each group of 10 Hail Marys).

These four prayers should be on the internet somewhere in latin. This would be all you need. Good luck.

I have seen the Fatima Parayer translated from english to latin in at least 5 different ways. So I asked a leader in Una Voce western Washington which was correct; of the 5 that I submitted to him he responded that all five were correct. That includes the one on the web site that the OP submitted.

Corsair, in my explanation of the latin prayers you have to say in the rosary, I inadvertently
left out one, the Hail Holy Queen (Salve Regina), which is right at the fork where the rosary
beads separate, and you say it at the very end after you’ve finished all the Hail Marys.

I hope that you were able to find the latin for the Our Father (it starts Pater Noster Qui est in coelis),
the Hail Mary (Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum), and the Apostles’ Creed (Credo in Deum).

I used to know these prayers, but at the Vatican II Counsel they changed everything over to
English, and I forgot even the Ave Maria, which I used to have to say each day before Latin
class started in Notre Dame high school.

Yes the pronunciation used on the site is correct. In college I took Latin as my second language not just to be different (everyone else always picked French, Spanish or German) but attending a Jesuit run Catholic college it seemed appropriate as the Fathers often would keep significant elements of Latin in the Mass (I still jokingly insist they did this to punish thier students for thier youthful “sins”).

This pronountiation have huge English accent.
Latin is most beautiful language in the world. I understand that is hard for you to pronounce Latin words correctly, as are English words hard to me.
It isn’t the best track to learn Latin, indeed.

Post Scriptum: Sorry for my English. I do not speak English every day but Latin - yes I speak it with my teacher (except holidays) and my priest. Thank God for this!
