Since the Catholic Church is the Body of Christ

it must experience the same passion as He did. He was persecuted and calumnized unjustly, and so must His Church suffer the same trials.
The persecutors and calumnizers should realize that when they attack the Catholic Church, they are really attacking its founder, Jesus Christ Himself.
In rejecting His Church, they are in fact, rejecting Him.,so why dose this happen.

Bill,
Are you speaking here of just the Catholic Church, those in communion with the Bishop of Rome, or of the entirety of the Church Catholic, the congregation of all believers?

Could you clarify your question please?

Are you asking why God would let people do this, or why people would want to attack the church in the first place?

Most of the time I,m talking about the Church in communion with Rome,but I may be wrong I do not know that much about the other Churchs

rev, How many verse do you need, lets start with one ""He is the head of the body, the church. 9 He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he himself might be preeminent. “” COL1;28,E5;30;;;;Rom12;;4-5 well thats 3 more,does that help you

Justified by faith in Baptism, [they] are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers by the children of the Catholic Church. Baptism therefore constitutes the sacramental bond of unity existing among all who through it are reborn.

No where does it say Catholic Church, even Ignatius was calling Jesus’ Church the universal Church, not Catholic in the sense that it is the only true worshipping body.

**Ignatius was simply separating out those people that did not agree with the fact that Jesus did in fact suffer and die on the cross. **

Today it is being used to label only those that follow the Pope - none that only follow Jesus are included so the Catholic Church is no longer the universal Church that Ignatius was talking about.

The **universal Church ** is all the people called out, not just the Catholic Church.

I have not been posting for a few days but I think I was talking about the CC that is with Rome

And that in no shape or form negates an iota of anything.The first followers of Christ simply followed the Way,the term “Christians” was used years after Christ death. Does that mean it is an entire different church?

The usage or application certain adjectives at later dates does not rebuke Christ universal church.
