Sinful or not?

Sorry in advance if this sounds redundant. It is a related post to my last post I posted in Black Fence.
If someone is being emotionally abused, is it a sin to leave the abuser? I’m wondering if it is a sin of scandal or something like that. No one knew about the abuse and I don’t blab about others even if they weren’t nice to me. I have lost a lot of friends as a result of this and I’m not sure how to look at this situation. :confused:
 
I might not be Catholic, but I know it’s never a sin to leave someone who abuses you. Never.

I don’t know if this is sinful. Can you be more specific as to your situation?

It’s not a sin.
Jesus had to leave Jerusalem one time when the High Priests told Him Herod wanted to kill Him.
What’s more, Jesus defended Himself, He called Herod a wily fox, and stood His ground telling the High Priests, “You tell that wily fox, today I preach, and I will go on My way tomorrow.”

Jesus left the locality to avoid being harassed by Herod.

Also, Jesus ignored Herod’s emotional abuse during His questioning, He wouldn’t even reply,
And Herod had to send Him back innocent to Pilate,

The saints all wrote, avoid sinful company, it can drag you into their sinfulness.
St Therese of Avila wrote, only a fool thinks he can be friends with terrible sinners and get away unscathed.

Did the apostles have friends who were emotionally abusive, no, they wrote, correct someone three times, then in the presence of others, and if they don’t listen, then let them be as dead to you.
In the early Christian communities they all tried to live like Jesus.
The apostles left towns that were emotionally abusive and wiped the very sand off their feet.
