Longer time ago I led my friend once into a sin and once I even prayed that he does it. I confessed the sin and that I led him to that sin which is a grave sin but I didnt confess that I even prayed for it. Was the prayer an extra sin which had to be confessed or was the confession ok?

Thank you for your answers,
God bless you 🙂

It’s all kind of part of the same thing, to me, so if you confessed the sin and leading him to that sin, it probably covers the prayer too. But if you are in doubt, just mention the prayer part at your next Confession.

Why don’t you ask the priest next time you go to confession? Ask him if you are being scrupulous too?

I have the intention to ask the only thing I fear is that since I thought about the prayer during the confession and didn’t confess it the confession may be invalid.

Since you already confessed to all the main parts of the sin, that leads me to believe that you either just forgot to mention the prayer part or you didn’t realize it was sinful.
You can ask the priest if your past confession was invalid…my suspicion is he will say if you were genuinely sorry about leading your friend into since, then it was valid.

Well, first I’d say that very few people on here are priests so you probably need to get an answer from somewhere else, i.e. a priest.

Second, you should ask yourself this, during your confession did you deliberately cover up the fact that you prayed for it, or did it slip your mind/through no fault of your own you didn’t mention it.

Finally, I am pretty confident that you’re in the clear. I’d still go talk to a priest if I were you though.
