I never knew this story. It may explain why in part, some people thought they had seen Elvis after he had passed away on this date in 1977. A lot of people do seem familiar with Ellis. Rest in Peace for both.

He actually has a big cult following.🤷 He might have made it really big if it weren’t for his Elvis looks and Elvis voice.

I mean, nobody could out-King the King; it was just his strange misfortune to have to fight against that perception.
