I am currently watching a Protestant program on TV after I got home from midnight mass, and a lady is singing the Magnificat, found in Luke 1:46-55, really nice.

Did you see any contradiction here?
PS: part of me was glad to hear Mary being mentioned during a Christmas service at a protestant church; other part, hmm…what were they really thinking about Mary?
