Singing the New Roman Missal Responses Early in September - Any Parishes a Confirmed Yes?

As most of you know, during the recent USCCB meeting, the approval was given to sing the new translation of the people’s parts of the Mass starting in September 2011. This must first have the permission of the local Ordinary, then of course be implemented by the Pastor. I’ve seen permission given on the websites of the Archdioceses of Boston, Chicago, and Denver. I’m sure there are many more diocese where the bishop has given his OK. Has anyone heard of a parish that is fully committed and on board with this early implementation? Comments?

We have permission to begin Labor Day weekend but we might wait until October. It is only the sung responses that can be used. Anything recited has to be the current version. Tht means those who go to daily Mass will be using two different sets of responses. We may just introduce one sung Memorial Acclamation for Sunday until Advent, then introduce a second one. The Holy Holy and Lamb of God are the same (except for one word in the Holy Holy). We are not going to introduce the Gloria until Christmas because we haven’t found one that is sung through that we like, and our DM feels the chant version in the Missal is too complicated for our congregation.

However, nothing precludes the faithful from singing the Sanctus during daily Mass and the Memorial Acclamation (when we eat this bread). . There is also the Gloria from the Psallite Mass that is sung-through.
