I would like to make a prayer request for myself and my adult children. I have been fighting a terminal form of cancer for four years and we are getting to the end stages. After years of chemotherapy, none have proven to be successful and I am currently under hospice care. I am 48 years old, and have a 24 year old son; a married 23 year old daughter, and an 18 year old daughter. My son-in-law is 21. All except my son are still living with me, and I am finding it difficult to support them as they are finding it difficult to find decent jobs.

I also wish for prayers for my parents. This is a very difficult time for them.

I wish for prayers for wisdom, faith, hope, and love and trust in God’s perfect will. Please pray for me for the strength to carry on. May your will be done, Heavenly Father.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family! My family is no stranger to cancer and we have seen several loved ones go through the stages, most of which also received the sombre news of stage 4. I am deeply touched by your concern for your family. The fact that you are facing what most of us are not (and prayerfully won’t) and can’t possibly understand what it’s like and yet you STILL put others before you speaks fathoms about your character. Rest assured God has his eyes on you and WILL take care of you. And because of your selfless attitude and love for your family it would be downright foolish to think God won’t take care of them as well. I will pray for you and your family but rest assured God will watch over you all! God Bless you and know that you will still be with your children even after God calls you home!
 
Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve your sick servant, Philena, and give your power of healing to those who minister to her needs, that she may be strengthened in her weakness and have confidence in your loving care; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
 
My prayers for you and your dear family. Your wonderful witness to your children and parents will inspire them in their faith walks which is what any mother/daughter would want. God will certainly care for your children.

Precious Lord, look with great compassion on this family and be with them during these difficult days. Provide for ALL their needs. Give comfort and courage to this mother in her terminal illness and give her a peace knowing You are in control. Thank you dear Lord, we ask in Jesus’ precious name, amen.

P.S. I don’t know what type of cancer you have or if medical marijuanna (sp?) is even legal where you live, but someone I know that had terminal cancer found great relief from pain with this as well as the ability to eat. They had only wished they started it sooner. Most places this is illegal though, which I would never advise…Just passing this on in case.

O Father of mercies and God of all comfort, our only help in time of need, You alone are the Great Healer of the soul. Father I pray you will soothe Philena in her suffering. Comfort her in this terrible illness and surround her with your strength and love. Lord Jesus Christ, you know all our pain and sorrow and bore them for us on the cross. In the pain and anxiety about her loved ones which she now experiences allow her to know your presence, strengthen her faith when he would despair, and give her the assurance of your eternal love. Great is your faithfulness to your children, Lord. Please grant Philena the gift of inner peace, that no matter what, you will watch over each of her children and her parents. God bless you my dear sister…I will continue to pray for you and your family…
 
God bless you and comfort you during this time. Having watched my own mother suffer with cancer and receive hospice care, I do know this is a trial for you and your children. Please try not to worry too much about your kids; they will make it OK. You sound like a good mom to worry so much, but please try not to. Just focus on finishing the race before you. I pray your peace until the Lord takes you by the hand to show you the way home.
