Please pray for my friend and schoolmate that I’ve known since 7th grade, Denise Garvey. Denise is a single mother with a 12 year old son. Both of us would greatly appreciate your continued prayers as she battles a rare and aggressor form of breast cancer. Thank you.
 
Father God, I pray that Denise Garvey’s treatments would be successful and kill every cancer cell in her body. I pray that you give her doctors wisdom on which treatments to use. I pray that you provide finances for her medical bills. I pray Holy Spirit, that You would console her and her son and bring them comfort, peace, and strength. I pray that she lives a long, happy life with her son. Amen. :signofcross:

My wife and I have travelled this road together for a year and a half. We couldn’t have done it without the rosary and the intercession of the saints. St. Agatha is the patron saint of breast cancer patients, St. Peregrine is the patron saint of cancer patients, Both have become good friends of ours. We also pray for St. John-Paul II and Padre Pio’s intercessions.

We’re thankful for my wife’s health whose surgery/chemo/radiation have been successful. We’re especially thankful for the healing power of God, Mary’s love and care, the sacraments, and the intercessions of the communion of the saints.

BTW - St. Raphael the archangel’s name means “God heals”. His intercessions are also sought and valued.

Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

A prayer to St. Peregrine

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder Worker” because of the numerous miracles which you obtained from God for those who have turned to you in their need. For so many years, you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being.

You turned to God when the power of human beings could do no more, and you were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His cross to heal your affliction. I now ask God to heal Denise, whom I entrust to you.

Aided by your powerful intercession, I shall sing with Mary a hymn of gratitude to God for His great goodness and mercy. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

I belong to an e-mail list for attorneys. I don’t post much here, but I read a lot, and thought I recognized this single mother’s name when a new post came up today. Here it is, below, copied-and-pasted without the signature of the original attorney.

It seems that more prayers are needed for Denise and her child.

There is a cancer survivor named Denise Garvey who needs an attorney, possibly two attorneys.

Denise lost all access to her 13 year old son to her multi-millionaire baby-daddy and his wife last year. She was self represented. McArthur & English are kindly handling the appeal from that order for her pro bono. Attorney Martha Dean has been kindly representing her in the lower court pro bono for the past year during the pendency of the appeal, but Martha will be withdrawing on May 10. Denise essentially needs someone to stand beside her in court from May 17-19 for a hearing re visitation. The next attorney can do no wrong.

Denise's reconstruction surgery from her double mastectomy was botched last year and the two subsequent corrective surgeries didn't help matters, unless you like Picasso.

PS: She is willing to do fundraising for fees if you are willing to take the case. The case is in Connecticut (she's my neighbor).
