Single or married is the state of the person in this life and doesn’t reflect the state of their soul which is much deeper.
I would think that the only real difference would be time, as (assuming the single person isn’t a parent or doesn’t have any ailing relatives) a single person might be able to give of more time.
That’s my thought.

Yes, I was going to say the same thing. Single persons… as a general rule… might have a bit more time to give to prayer and parish service. Unless, of course… they have other family responsibilities… such as caregiving to elderly parents (this has been my particular circumstance… and prevents me from offering my time and talents to my parish). God bless.

In my case, as a single person, it would be my time spent in Alcoholics Anonymous. Sitting there at the meetings, with my 23 years of sobriety, can give hope to the newcomers that the program will also work for themYes, I was going to say the same thing.
