Hi all you may find this of interest…

As I mentioned the sinners prayer is often connected with OSAS

I also mentioned that I believe OSAS is a lie.

May I invite you to listen to the following you tube video.

It is a message from a preacher addressing a youth convention on the very subject of salvation, and what it means to be saved and be a follower of Jesus christ.
He also addresses the lies of OSAS, and people who believe that they are saved due to the fact they said the sinners prayer at one time in their life

It is long hard preaching but I believe every second is worth listening to.

Hi SingleMomMonica and reteeks21,

reteeks is right… you wont find the sinners prayer in the bible.

The sinners prayer is useful to lead a non believer to the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

I would encourage you to read post #20 on this thread and read the sample of the sinners prayer and the illustration I gave for a possible way the prayer may be useful to lead a nonbeliever to the Lord.
