I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I do worry about these kinds of things. So I was listening to a few GOP debates and them talking about Planned Parenthood and defunding it. Here was an idea that I was thinking about and talked about it with my family. You would strip their funding and remove their ability to do abortions, contraception, and the like, and allow them only to be a type of mayo-clinic organization that would provide cheap examinations and such. Or just scrap the whole thing and create a new organization. My question is, would the mere idea and support of the idea of allowing that new, restricted Planned Parenthood constitute a grave sin simply because it is Planned Parenthood? Can you even sin in this way? Anyway, I think I tend to be scrupulous and this may sound really silly, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks to any for responding.

No, having an idea like this is not sinful. I would question whether your plan is a wise one though. There are some organisations that are just so evil that there is no hope for them to do any good.
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Matthew 3:10

Is it possible for Planned Parenthood to be converted to Christ though?

For that, they would have to stop performing abortions or giving contraception of their own free will and not through state regulation. I would read up on some of the history of this organisation and its founder, it may shock you.

Support of any organization that continues the theories that artificial contraception and abortion are good for any individual or society would be wrong.

Unfortunately, your basic premise is flawed - defunding Planned Parenthood would not stop them from their evil practices. The monies they receive from our government are but a drop in the bucket, mostly recycled back into the pockets of government lackeys who continue to vote for laws that support Planned Parenthood’s practices.

Defunded them is a good start, stripping them of their 501 3 c status would be a good next step after that.

Presumably, otherwise why would they attract so many donations?
