Sins of Islam
Hi

Islam is not a person; only adult humans sin. The thread is incorrecty described and creates an ambiguity.

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for changing the name of the thread to remove an ambiguity.

The title of the thread as also the link given in it suggests that the discussion would be to understand sins and its atonement in comparison.

The link mentions:

Buddhist views of sin

Buddhism does not recognize the idea behind sin because in Buddhism, instead, there is a “Cause-Effect Theory”, known as Karma, or action. In general, Buddhism illustrates intentions as the cause of Karma, either good, bad, or neutral. Furthermore, most thoughts in any being’s mind can be negative.

Jewish views of sin

Judaism regards the violation of the divine commandments to be a sin. Judaism teaches that sin is an act, and not a state of being. Humankind was not created with an inclination to do evil, but has that inclination “from his youth”(Genesis 8:21). People do have the ability to master this inclination (Genesis 4:7) and choose good over evil (conscience)(Psalm 37:27).[6] Judaism uses the term “sin” to include violations of Jewish law that are not necessarily a lapse in morality.

Jewish conceptions of atonement for sin

For more details on this topic, see Repentance in Judaism.
Atonement for sins is discussed in the Hebrew Bible, known to Christians as the Old Testament. Rituals for atonement occurred in the Temple in Jerusalem, and were performed by the Kohanim, the Israelite priests. These services included song, prayer, offerings and animal sacrifices known as the korbanot. The rites for Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, are prescribed in the book of Leviticus chapter 15. The ritual of the scapegoat, sent into the wilderness to be claimed by Azazel, was one of these observances (Lev. 16:20-22).

Christian views of sin

In general

In Western Christianity, sin is viewed as a legal infraction or contract violation, and so salvation tends to be viewed in legal terms, similar to Jewish thinking. In Eastern Christianity, sin is viewed in terms of its effects on relationships, both among people and between people and God. The Bible portrays sin as not following God’s moral guidance, based on the account of Adam and Eve in the Book of Genesis. They disobeyed God by eating the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, which gave them the ability to judge and know good from evil for themselves.

Just a little pause here.

What is the view of our Catholic friends here? Is it a sin to have the faculty/ability to judge and know good from evil for the Catholics?

I love Jesus and Mary as I do love Buddha and Krishna.

Thanks

He already mentioned why he came back. Please be fair. Maybe there are lot of lies that he needs to uncover and that’s enough reason to stay.

If the thread is too tough you can very well leave it alone like some similar threads already were.

And look how offensive the titles of the threads started by your fellow Muslim here. These people should be banned outright and yet they are given the grace to continue.

I just note one of the sins considers sin by Islam is ‘Offending and abusing Muslims’. How nice! Too bad for the kafirs - no mention it’s sin if they are abused.

The trouble is that neither Mahomet nor Mahometanism can take away or redeem from sin.

Isa akbar!

**Isa akbar!

ISA AKBAR!

I bear witness there is NO GOD but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and Jesus is God Incarnate risen from the dead.**

did not notice any post where he mentioned why he again wants to respond to Muslims posts.

Few short answers :

why wine is prohibited ?

God says in Quran : They ask thee concerning wine and gambling. Say: “In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit.” 2:119
Spying for the enemy of the Muslims
huh , why it’s so hard to understand ? Jesus (p) taught u to spying for the enemy of Christians ?
Women imitating men and men imitating women
God created men & women differently . We can’t go against the nature . God ordered Men to be the caretakers of women , earn & spend for them 🙂

why men should imitate women & the vice versa ?
Not protecting oneself from urine
Physical cleaniness is part of our faith. Before prayer , we wash our face , hand ,legs etc. If we are not careful in toilet & clothes , body is wet with urine , we must wash properly . If possible , will change the dress.

I notice blowing up in the name of Allah is not a sin. You die for my religion is not a sin.

If it is physical cleanliness, it is rather strange that it becomes spiritual sin. Well, before I forget I should be careful commenting on this or some very angry and sarcastic Jew would surface any momment to spite it. 😛

I mean why must you clean according to specific procedure? There are equally more efficient method today like the non-septic handwashing technique. Do you know there are antiseptic lotion that can be used without washing the hands or body parts involved?

I once introduced a house for rent for my Muslim friend. But because the former tennants were non-Muslims, his wife refused to moved in until a prayer was said and the cleansing done seven times because of the possiblity the tennants might have kept dogs.

So it seems more than just physical cleanliness to me.

A quote from Ibn Kathir, “Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog, as was reported in As-Sahih, nor do they enter a house in which there is an image, a person in a state of ritual impurity or a disbeliever, as was narrated in the Hasan Hadith.” As with Bukhari who also said, in which Muhammad says: “Angels do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or a picture of a living creature.” So the woman was only doing as according to what Islam has taught and exposed her mind to. Psycho? That’s for you to judge.

No matter how much you wish to duck, Muslims do in one way or another regard its writings as authentic. Many Islamic laws were derived from the Hadith collections. Are you also going to deny that?

The guy is an Ahmadi, a heretic Muslim sect. In some Muslim countries this sect is banned. The woman I mentioned is a Sunni who believe differently.
