Hello,
I am a soon to be 20 year old young man who wants to convert to the Catholic Church.
I have asked God for forgiveness for some of the horrible things I have done, yet I feel like they aren’t forgiven… I mean I don’t feel sorry enough for them, my heart is so cold.

And I mean the magnitude of my sins are soo great, like you wouldn’t belief… I think one of them only the Pope can absolve? Sorry if I am coming across as dramatic, but I have done so much wrong and I don’t see much hope for me.

Yes… I am seeking reassurance and comfort by this post… please pardon that.

If you want reassurance then becoming Catholic is the thing to do. In the sacrament of Confession Catholics receive absolution:

God, the Father of mercies, through the death and resurrection of his Son has reconciled the world to himself and sent the Holy Spirit among us for the forgiveness of sins; through the ministry of the Church may God give you pardon and peace, and I absolve you from your sins in the name of the Father, and of the Son, + and of the Holy Spirit.

You don’t have to rely on your feelings. A confessor can provide simple spiritual direction to help you know that you are forgiven.

Have you actually talked to a Catholic priest? You should be doing that as you will get better information that way, than by posting on here.

The Catholic Church is very forgiving as long as you truly repent and do not plan to repeat the sin.

It’s Christ who forgives. No one in the Church will know your sins.
That’s between you and God. Make a good confession when you fall into sin, and take heart. God is merciful and loves you more than you know.
If you have not been Baptized, Baptism will wash clean all those past sins, completely, entirely, don’t worry
Welcome home.

All of us who have Faith in God have hope for forgiveness, the Lord does not want you to fail! See if you can get into an RCIA class, talk to a priest. It’s not yours to decide the God doesn’t/won’t forgive you, it IS your decision to accept that he has!

Feelings can be dangerous, which is why sacramental confession can be so reassuring. God’s mercy is unlimited. God will forgive any sin. Be careful not to think you are better than God in thinking your sins can’t be forgiven.
