The answer to the questions are as follows:
There are not existing copies of the LXX or sufficient historical information to know what it contained, which is the crux of the question I believe.
I do not believe the Catholic Church did give us the Bible. I do not support the Alexandrian text. I do not think that Hippo or Carthage had any kind of demonstrable effect on the canon. I do not think you will find evidence from the 100 years proceding these local councils to indicate the church believed that to be the case. I do believe that quite early the vast majority of the OT and NT were accepted by Christianity. I do not believe the early Christians practiced the worship or had Roman Catholic beliefs. They completely cherry pick a few verses here and there and ignore that fact that a Pope, Immaculate Conception, venerating images, and the Assumption do not exist in Christianity for the first two centuries or later. I do absolutely recognize that the largest groups to come out of the early church such as the Orthodox and Catholicism developed doctrine contrary to the insprired Sacred writings. I do not think it was to the credit of any man or organization but God alone. etc etc.
But lets talk some more about the KJV and Sirach!
