My wife’s sister is planning on moving in with her boyfriend of a few months. It is not the first time she has lived with a boyfriend. Also they are thinking of moving to a new city soon (if he gets a job) and getting a house together.
She is agnostic/relativist and very obstinate. Her upbringing didn’t involve church and I don’t see anyone in her family or his family (from what I can tell) really trying to persuade them to take different actions.
I wanted to see if anyone had any advice on how to approach the situation or try to persuade them to not live together. They know I’m Catholic and would know I do not believe it is right to live together before marriage. I don’t usually have much contact with her, but should I reach out and try to say something? And if so how should I go about the subject?
I don’t want to approve of their actions, but also don’t want to harden their hearts toward the faith.
