Brothers and sisters in Christ, I can only offer heartfelt thanks and return prayers for all of the prayers that I have received. As it is, I am scheduled for a biopsy Friday and to begin treatment on Monday, October 6th. Due to the number, location and rapid expansion of numerous lymph nodes, it appears that either a relapse, or a transformation of the cancer has occurred. The biopsy is intended to confirm this. So, I need only strength to face another fight, and to submit to God’s will. Amen. From po18guy***

Prayer to St. Anthony for Those With Cancer
Dear St. Anthony, the Wonder-Worker,
you recognized Our Lord Jesus as the Divine Healer.
In your goodness and kindness, please intercede
for po18guy who is suffering from cancer.
If it is God’s will, may the gift of healing
be granted to po18guy.
Comfort him during times of unbearable pain,
and ask our Lord to grant him peace
and patience in suffering.
The answer to my prayer may require a miracle;
even so, you are the Saint of Miracles.
May God give him the fullness of life here on earth.
Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle
God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command
and brought forth light from the darkness,
I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power
to heal po18guy.
You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind
and by speaking a simple command,
you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need,
including those you raised from the dead.
Despite what the doctors say if this be Your Will
I ask you to send forth your healing power into po18guy’s body
and give him the strength to fight this illness.
I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen

A Prayer to St. Peregrine for Sick Relatives and Friends
O great St. Peregrine, you have been called
“The Mighty”, and “The Wonder Worker”
because of the numerous miracles
which you obtained from God
for those who have turned to you in their need.
For so many years you bore in your own flesh this
cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being.
You turned to God when the power of human beings could do no more,
and you were favored with the vision of Jesus
coming down from His cross to heal your affliction.
I now ask God to heal these sick persons whom I entrust to you;

Aided by your powerful intercession,
I shall sing with Mary a hymn of gratitude to God
for His great goodness and mercy.

We lift our prayers and intentions for our friend Jim and his family at this time of great concern about his health and new challenges. Please grant Jim healing and excellent medical advice in accordance with your Holy and perfect will. Please help Jim and his family to experience your loving compassion, grant them continued strong faith, and trust in your divine providence. Lord, we know everything we have comes from you, and that all things are possible with you at our side. Please be with Jim and his family now in this time of concern about his health situation.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, the Good Shepherd of your people.
