Hi all!

Sadly a while ago I damaged my face (it was self-harm).

Now I’m struggling to live a full life… my face has been left with scars.

It’s now covered in scars and marks and is basically ruined… I have to spend about an hour and a half trying to cover the marks. This affects my day to day going about, and I’m finding it hard to retain any confidence… for my career, etc.

Can you please pray for the miraculous healing of my face? I realise that God was perhaps trying to bring me low, so that by bringing me back up out of the depths of anxiety I would be made to know him more deeply? And I know that I shouldn’t be so vain as to care about my face. But I’m at the age where your looks really matter, especially for a girl.

Dear Lord God please help us to recover where we have sabotaged ourselves.
Many of us do this in various ways.
This poor girl did it by marking her face because in her heart and mind she did not value herself.
In Your tender love for her, help her to value herself always as Your loved child.
Help her to heal in her mind and heart, and to heal from all that is self-harm.

Hi there, you may want to look at laser skin resurfacing. This is said to be effective at reducing mild scarring.
 
You are in my prayers. Praying that God heal you and give you the strength you need to go through your days.

Lord, our God, you graciously chose St. Dymphna as patroness of those afflicted with mental, emotional, and nervous disorders. She is thus an inspiration and a symbol of charity to the thousands who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all suffering such trials, and especially those for whom we pray.

We beg you, Lord, to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna on our behalf. Grant all those for whom we pray patience in their sufferings and resignation to your divine will.

I beg you, assist Catipuss in all her needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the "medicine of God" I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of her soul and the ills that afflict her body. I especially ask of you the favor (healing of her face), and the great grace of purity to prepare her to be the temple of the Holy Spirit.
