That makes sense, especially considering the time of year and not using AC.I think I can tell you why. I make soap and work with a lot of oils. Certain solid oils or butters will have a grainy texture if they melt and harden without being tempered. Coconut oil has a melting point of 76 degrees, and that causes it to melt and harden over and over depending on the climate in your house. It doesn’t affect the overall quality, it’s more of an aesthetic thing. The good thing is, it melts right into your skin and doesn’t feel that way after a couple of seconds. It’s nowhere near being an exfoliant or harsh on the skin because of that. But it does have antifungal and antibacterial properties, making it a good choice for most people. I promise I’m not a rep for the coconut oil council lol. Just know a lot about oils.
Still, though, i’ll stick with olive oil around the eyes.
