So Skype’s terms say you must be of age to create a binding contract with them in order to create an account and use their service. That’s usually 18 in the USA I think.
However, they don’t make any effort to verify that as they don’t ask for your age. Well, I use Skype along with many of my friends We aren’t 18. Are we obligated under the pain of mortal sin to delete our accounts?
This is very similar to Google’s terms, which basically state the same thing (thus you’d have to be somewhere near 18 to use Google Search in the USA.) The Google thing was decided to be just for legal reasons and thus okay to use. EDIT: It was decided okay to use Google’s services under the age to form a binding contract with them by this community.
