Hello.
I´ve been reading accounts of lots of people who have been having sleep disorders, the most prominent of them sleep paralysis. Also, false awakenings (when you think you wake up but you are actually still asleep). While some of them do not take the latter badly, most of them do. Many find them pretty distressing and even terrifying. I read one comment about someone, during a false awakening, feeling as if they are being watched, and feeling panicked about it. Dream paralysis is taken most universally worse.
Please pray for these people, they must be carrying a heavy cross.
Blessings and thank you.

Dear God,
I pray for all that who have Sleep Disorders and who aew seeking another good night of restful sleep, give them the peace of mind and the ability to relax.
Fulfill their needs for mental and physical restoration so they may wake up ready for another beautiful day which I hope You will allow them to live to enjoy with praise and thanks to You .
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever. Amen.

The patterns described are all natural misfirings of our sleep/dreaming system.

Nothing to be afraid of IMINWHO.

Apparently, Our Lord gave me a sleepless night so I could join you in prayer.

Sleep without rest can indeed be a heavy cross when it is chronic.

Joining you in prayer… :signofcross:

Hail Mary,
Full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb,
Jesus
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of death,
Amen

Prayer To St. Josemaria Escriva

St. Josemaria Escriva, we humbly implore you for your prayers and intercession. As the founder of Opus Dei, you saw the beauty and sanctity to be gained in living our daily lives for God. Help us as we struggle through our crosses today- the little irritations that grate, the people who annoy, the situation that didn’t go our way, the exhaustion at the end of the day. You were able to see God’s will in every aspect of your life. Help us as we fight our concupiscence, our cowardice, our tendency to take the path of least resistance, as we attempt to follow Jesus on the way of the cross. I ask you especially to pray for all who have asked for prayers on the forum today, for my loved ones, and for all those for whom I am obligated to pray. Keep us within your heart on this your feast day, and pray for us to the Father in union with Christ our Lord. Amen.

St. Josemaria Escriva, pray for us!

For those troubled by these things…

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world…

Our Father
Hail Mary x10
Glory Be
Fatima
Amen

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit:
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

My dear patron Fathers, please pray for this intention.

St. Joseph, please intercede.

I’ve had the occasional sleep paralysis episode over the years. The trick for me is to force myself to move even the tiniest bit and it’ll break. But it’s like pushing an enormous stone with one little finger, so difficult. And the experiences were absolutely horrific!

Same here, removed the clock, take our landline phone off the hook, have it both cool and dark in the bedroom.Still it is hit or miss but all of these measures help some

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (people with sleep disorders). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into people with sleep disorders’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I didn’t know so many other people had experiences like this. I thought I might be dying… it is very scary. Praying also for people experiencing sleep problems…

Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
