I have a sleep disorder which is called idiopathic hypersomnia. As a result I find it a challenge to get to Mass. Everytime I think about going, I get sleepy. It’s strange because when my wife, who is a Protestant, takes me to Disney (we live in Orlando), it’s a struggle but she manages to put pressure on me to get me out of bed and go to places she wants or needs to go. If she were a Catholic I am sure she would bring me to Mass and it wouldn’t be any problem for me. But for some reason, I just don’t have the same talent she has. She can push me to go anywhere even if I am sleepy but I don’t know why I cannot push myself in the same way. It’s frustrating to say the least. I usually have to wait for Sunday evening Mass to go then.

Please pray for wisdom and strength to understand what God wants from me during this struggle.

Is going to Mass in the morning harder to do? Am I correct in assuming you go in the evening? Could you ask your wife to push you to go to morning Mass?

I mentioned Mass and she got immediately very angry, she wasn’t going to go to any Catholic church today unfortunately. Sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn’t depends on her mood.

Do you have any Catholic friends at your Parish? Perhaps they can drive you.

Hail Mary,
Full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb,
Jesus
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of death,
Amen

Praying you can get right with the Lord and your spouse…
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Fatima, Amen!

May the Lord keep you close…
Prayers for you…
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, Fatima, AMEN!
