Slept in missed mass

I had a really busy week in work early mornings and late nights . I was racked . I was glad to get into bed. I had planned to go to mass this morning . Sadly I slept in and missed mass . I usually don’t sleep in I am early riser on days when I am off . I looked for mass on web cam couldn’t find any . I prayed today readings .
 
You didn’t sin. Your intention was to go to Mass, you just overslept. Just be more careful to set an alarm in the future.

2183 "If because of lack of a sacred minister or for other grave cause participation in the celebration of the Eucharist is impossible, it is specially recommended that the faithful take part in the Liturgy of the Word if it is celebrated in the parish church or in another sacred place according to the prescriptions of the diocesan bishop, or engage in prayer for an appropriate amount of time personally or in a family or, as occasion offers, in groups of families."120

Or, perhaps you may find another opportunity to assist at Mass today? Is there a nearby evening Mass scheduled?

I have heard differing interpretations whether the Mass setting this evening must be for the Holy Day, or for tomorrow’s Sunday, or whether it is dealer’s/celebrant’s choice – But it is plainly clear that the Mass setting does not matter wrt fulfilling your obligation to assist at Mass for this Holy Day.

(You could then assist at either a Mass later in this evening or some time tomorrow to fulfill your Sunday obligation)

Personally, I had been planning to attend Mass tonight and again tomorrow in my parish, but fortunately made a last minute decision to attend Mass last evening for the Holy Day at a parish near my workplace. After arriving to work, I learned that my schedule has been shifted and will prevent my attending Mass tomorrow morning, so I shall attend mass tonight for Sunday. 😌
 
This is what I was going to say. Technically, I believe, one could attend say a 4 pm Mass followed immediately by one at 5 pm, and the obligation for both days would be fulfilled even though both use the Sunday readings.

Lucky for you, you can go to mass tonight for the Immaculate Conception holy day obligation and tomorrow (or another mass tonight) for 2nd Sunday of Advent.
