I believe it and agree with what the article says.

Just as they say in the article, remember that God is so huge! SO much stronger than any evil. We totally got this. 👍

So very true…being a Pro - life worker I see the dynamics indicated by the article repeatedly . Not unlike the ‘Fellowship of the Ring’ of Tolkein.

Father LaBriola is an exorcist. Why would anyone doubt him & the Gospels, I don’t know. For a time the Church didn’t have hardly any exorcists. In some seminaries students were exposed to all sorts theological notions contrary to the Gospels & orthodox & traditional Catholic teachings. While the Teachings of the Church, the Bible, & Holy Tradition withstood all this it led to confusion in interpretation & understanding all of this.
Code:
The spirit of evil was taught as if there was no person of evil. For years before the notion of angelic beings was contested and even taught that they don't exist. Liberal theologians taught that Original Sin didn't exist. No Fall of Man comes with this. Then it follows, and always does follow, that the Divinity of Christ was denied. The Miracles were interpreted as something else that the Gospels said they were. And some theologians and priests were actively trying to make the Church some sort of psychological social club. And believe it or not, a lot of things happened that led Pope Paul the VI say "from some crevasse the smoke of Satan has entered the sanctuary". Meaning the that Satan had entered the Holy of Holies? No, but he surely made inroads against Christianity, and to do this he had to impair the Church.

Read those papers in Catholic Culture about what Fr. Rohr and his highly touted "inner-healings" and the fruit of his work, "many conversions." Only to what were they converted? The only thing not tolerated by Fr. Rohr is foundational Catholic beliefs and the letters of his Bishop.. Read what other priests who attended his seminars. And people will not let go of this denying the Teachings of the Church and defending this man.

Then after you read about that listen to Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen's video on the diabolic. And if you can't discern the vastly different messages of these two, one a saintly man of God and the other a dissenter of the Catholic Church, my prayers for you are made every night and day that your eyes be opened.

In effect of all of this, society has spiraled downward and Modernism, Humanism, atheism, and a million churches, now at a number approaching 30, 000 in this country sprung up in the spiritual vacuum left in the wake of all these direct and indirect attacks from within & from outside of the Roman Catholic Church. We here in the USA are only about 350 million and we consume nearly 50% of the Energy Resources this earth has to offer. And this wildly popular President Obama supports this:
WASHINGTON, D.C. (10-01-12) – As Planned Parenthood prepares to celebrate its 96th birthday in October, Americans United for Life launches a month-long series of revelations – the release of “The Planned Parenthood Exhibits,” the continuing case for investigating the nation’s largest abortion provider. Each day in the month of October, AUL will release a new backgrounder that highlights grounds for investigating and, ultimately, de-funding Planned Parenthood, which receives more than one million dollars a day in taxpayer subsidies.

Abortion is the what I call the "Final Solution" to deliver the world of it's woes. Thankfully the number is decreasing but it is evident something is lacking in the USA & in the world. Mexico, home of the Hispanic peoples & Native Americans strong in the Catholic faith fell in 2007 and abortion was made legal in that Great Nation. Mexico, by all accounts impoverished by American standards only recently made abortion legal. Mexico may have it's problems but they are strong in faith.

Every exorcist priest informs the world that the number of possessions, oppressions, obsessions & demonic infestations are increasing. They urge Catholic people not to try to conduct deliverance rites but to pray deliverance prayers for themselves & heads of families for their families & parish priests to pray deliverance prayers for their parishes & Churches. Deliverance prayers can't make up for not following the basic tenets of our Catholic Faith. But they can keep evil that is so prevalent in society today & in the world

But many contest on supposed theological grounds (not what the Church teaches) the whole idea of people praying deliverance prayers. Deliverance prayers are what the Church recommends for demonic oppression, obsession, influence and infestations. While full demonic possession is rare, these other attacks of the devil are not. For example in Italy, home of the Holy See, there are over 300 exorcists. And in no way do I imply that laity is supposed to enter in competition which the Royal Priesthood. The Catholic Church is one big deliverance ministry.
May the Lord & His Mother Protect & Keep You,
BP

That Satan is there, still tempting and trying to defeat Christ? 🤷

St. Padre Pio once said (I am paraphrasing): “under the feet of St. Michael, Satan claims that he has defeated the archangel.”

We sort of know that the powers of the world of darkness are at war against us. We have an even worse enemy, our own inclinations to sin. However, all of that is nothing, nothing at all, compared to God. He made everything out of nothing, turned darkness into light, and through death gave us eternal life. So what if there is evil? If the adversary is given some power over us, it can only be for our own good - otherwise, God would not allow it to happen.

Sounds like the end of my marriage (eruptions of anger, et. al.). Also I had a lot of “psychosematic pain” which has abated with cymbalta. An article like this makes me wonder, which seems to me could be a lapse into “superstition.” There’s a fine line there.

And I do have an evil eye. Currently ditching it!

Do you want to hear a story about the “evil eye?”

I was feeling as though I was under some “curse,” whether it be a generational curse or at the hands of a jealous witch (literally a witch) who was dating my fiance’ (before he was my fiance’). While he was dating her I was experiencing some awful things, indescribable awful things. ( I had heard that she was intimately involved with a Satanist simultaneously while with my now fiance. I do not know if the story was true. You know how reliable second hand information is.🤷).

My dear friends were concerned for me because I was a wreck and they had never seen me so hard up emotionally and spiritually. One friend gave me a St. Michael statue, another a St. Michael forgiveness prayer and then I was lead to a Spiritual Warfare book with St. Michael on the cover. I started praying the prayers in the book with my now fiance’. We got into a discussion about the “evil eye,” I had been seeing it around, formed in the clouds, tattooed on someones back, a formation in the trees, etc. My now fiance’ went out on a date with his witch girlfriend that night and she had just got a new item of paraphernalia and showed it to him. It had the “evil eye” on it. That was enough for him. He knew that there was something to it. He stopped dating her. Ironically, the intensity of my struggles subsided. They did continue at moderate intensity until I made my “Unbound” conference on deliverance, which FOUND ME in one of those “God” ways. I also was invited by the ladies, at the new church I was attending, to join their spiritual warfare prayer group. God was REALLY showing me that I was engaged in a spiritual battle.

One of the biggest battles was over whether or not I was going “crazy.” My priest assured me I was NOT crazy (even though some of the things I would tell him, if I were telling a psychiatrist would have put me in a mental institute) and prayed over me with binding prayers. During this time I was seeking refuge in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. God actually had physically moved me into a different town so that I could attend adoration regularly. He parked me in an apartment 2 blocks away from Him. That physical move actually gave me instant relief.

I could write a book!
