East Timor a small Catholic country in Asia, is in the cross-hairs of international pro-abortion forces for its refusal to make abortion legal. East Timor, with only one million people, is like a Catholic David facing a powerful pro-abortion Goliath, and will not yield in its faithful refusal to accept abortion.

Oh, I’ll add them to my prayers! Really, with legalising abortion came girls using abortion as a contraceptive! disgusting!

As if East Timor had not suffered enough of a genocide at the hands of Indonesia, now the worldwide abortion cartel wants to inflict another round of mass killing, this time of the unborn!

Stuff really makes me think that God must be pretty tired of the way humanity has been conducting itself of late. It’s getting harder and harder to ask Him to have mercy upon the world when I myself think we are due for a good correction. We are really getting to be Planet Sodom; there are still a few just scattered here and there, but it’s now hard to argue that a rain of fire and brimstone would be undeserved.

They’ve been trying to do that to the Philippines, too. But I think with our prayers, and the efforts of the good clergymen of these two Catholic nations of Southeast Asia, not even an armoured regiment would move the people there to legalize such barbaric practices.

I’m sure everyone has noticed the increased pressure and huge amounts of money the anti-life forces are using, even in this country and on a global scale. Not only with the issue of abortion, but with homosexuality as well. After all, what is the reality of the gay life-style? In addition to being a perversion, it really is a form of birth control.

From the article:
One international NGO supported by the Australian government and the United States Agency for International Development, the Judicial System Monitoring Programme (JSMP), claimed that “International treaty law specifically supports the right of women to have access to safe abortion methods,” including in cases of pregnancy due to rape and incest or where the fetus is abnormal.
How disturbing is this? Beware of anything “international” which would negate a nation’s sovereignty and allow a single global governing unit to overturn laws.

I feel there is this huge scab covering the world and even the Church is not speaking out.

Yep…sometimes it takes me a while to “catch on”😛 but a while back I started to put 2 and 2 together…gay marriage = no babies. They’re working it from every angle. Prayer and sacrifice…and THE ROSARY IS THE WEAPON.

The JSMP is, I think, reading CEDAW wrong - a good deal of other countries which have heavy restrictions on or ban abortion (for example, Ireland or the Philippines) are parties, and there’s been little hullaballoo about them retaining those laws from NGOs on those grounds. Of course, those two countries aren’t as desperately poor as Timor-Leste is (the RP is poor, but not that poor.) It’s basically international bullying from the rich and powerful countries.

Obama, Clinton, and the liberal west are threatening to cut off aid to Uganda if they pass an anti-homosexual act law. So what happens to sovereign rule? What happens to state’s right i.e. Arizona?

Well, there are some that might argue the Ugandan law is overly harsh, in that the proposed penalty is execution. And the Arizona laws have nothing to do with this - people can disagree on immigration law or state’s rights and still be good Catholics.
