Days hard here.

Adjusting to no more trading after 15 years and the reason for that. One of my family is about to call the police boss now to sort out what happened last week as they were involved… I do not envy the police frankly, but the whole thin makes me feel sick

Small comforts support and heal… Face of my cat as he watches me eat something to rather fancies…H e has huge round golden eyes and does this silent miao. and yep, of course he got some fish…

Old episodes of favourite TV series on youtube…

Just small things that matter …

Yes small things matter.

Somehow your post reminds me of the song My Favorite Things sang by Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music.

I enjoy it when my dogs watch me too. They cheer me up after a hard day. Animals are so comforting. I’m glad to here that you also have a furry friend to enjoy after a hard day.

Sometimes, it’s a comfort to treat oneself to a good pot of tea. When I do this, I choose from a few special china cups, each with a different pattern which belonged to some dear friends. It’s a special treat.
It’s a bit more measured and formal and peaceful than my normal ‘brew a cup of coffee and keep right on with whatever I am doing at the moment’ way of doing things.
A clean break for some peace.
May God bless you Rosebud77 and all who visit your thread.

–Just standing in a nice warm shower and letting it relax you–that is so nice. 😛

–A nice pot of tea – wonderful :coffee:

–but having a cat who loves you—that, as you said, is the best. 🙂 :yup:

Ah what wonderful posts… It is coffee with me; hate tea, but the same idea…

Just getting over a migraine so simply bed is soothing… unwinding after a bad time is a trigger for them // Just a quiet day here now… Coffee at my elbow, cats and dog all fed, litter trays changed… Youtube and simple knitting. Bliss!

THANKYOU ALL FOR BEING THERE! The love of Jesus comes in small things that are great and full of His compassion…

Love this thread. Over all the fur flying in modesty thread or in political threads, this thread comes off as soothing and prayerful with a side of gratitude.

Today is a hot, humid, sticky day in my corner of the world.

A cool breeze, clouds covering the sun lessening the heat are what makes me grateful.

I will also be grateful for the summer rains, if only they will come.

There’s gorgeous clouds with just a little bit of rain. It’s just beginning to show signs of autumn here–some of the leaves are starting to turn beautifully. The NE of the U.S. must have beautiful autumns too!

What a beautiful world God has created.

Indeed.

I appreciate all four seasons. They all have their beauty.

As much as heat and humidity makes me uncomfortable, summer remains my favorite season.

I know. Last evening I got watching some of the Chernobyl documentaries, We have so much. . So very much and deeply grateful always. Those children and all the poverty and contamination.

Even in my current dilapidation I lack nothing…

Cool here, and still… The hydrangea in my battered and neglected garden has flowers for the first time. A pale blue lacecap…I picked one and am gazing at it.

Used to know a Nun who would say, " Whenever I see a daisy, I want to worship" These being the tiny wildflowers we have here.

Family in Canada are roasting too.

Bless you!

Oh my goodness I can’t begin to list all the small (and big) comforts I have experienced during my time of illness! 🙂 I don’t know if I would have made it this far without God having provided these comforts for me. They really help you through the hard times. Thanks be to God for all His blessings great and small! :gopray:

Hold them close. That is what the so called small things are there for…

I am knitting CHRISTMAS ELF HATS! Last year I got an order for them for a huge local event and they said next year, so as I do not need to knit for the stall any more, starting them early. Adult they are, 24 inches long and I sew jingle bells on them!

And I thank God for the kindness that gives me work I can do that will feed babies who will not live unless they are helped…

Blessings and peace…
