Gentle Matt, I turn to you in RosaryMama’s husband’s present needs and ask for the help of your prayers. Trusting in you, I am confident your charitable and understanding heart will make his petitions your own. I believe that you are truly powerful in the presence of Divine Mercy. If it be for the glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the honor of Mary, our Mother and Queen, and the deepening of his relationship with them, show that your goodness towards him, in his daily struggles, equals your influence with the Holy Spirit, Who is hidden and at home in his heart. Prayer for the Canonization of Matt Talbot

Lord, in Your servant, Blessed Matt Talbot, You have given us a wonderful example of triumph over addiction, of devotion to duty, and of lifelong reverence for the Holy Sacrament. May his life of prayer and penance give us courage to take up our crosses and follow in the footsteps of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Father, if it be Your will that Your beloved servant should be glorified by Your Church, make known by Your heavenly favors the power he enjoys in Your sight. We ask this through the same Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Good news New Hampshire has a program that gives smokers patches for free to smokers who want to stop smoking.My husband has agreed to do it.The patches are coming in a week to 10 days.Please pray that this works for him.🙂
 
Holy Michael the Archangel defend us in the day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,

Praying that your husband overcomes his addiction to cigarettes. The patch is a big help along with the will to truly quit. And, prayer really does help too! Praying for your husband to obtain the will to quit smoking and crush the demon of addiction.
 
My husband took 1 cigarette before he put on his patch today.Please pray he doesn’t do that tomorrow.

After about 50 years of smoking, my father finally quit. He can do it!

Update on my husband he is doing great it has been a month on the patch.Also he went for his yearly physical and the dr.saw no signs of copd.I don’t get it I never heard of it going away.But he had a different dr. the year before.I just don’t know but I am grateful and thank God!Keep praying for him to not smoke!Thank you for your prayers!
 
Thank you for all your prayers.My husband has been done with his patch for a few days now.Hopefully he will never touch a cigarette again.I will pray for him the rest of his life that he won’t .
 
I need your prayers! My husband came home from work yesterday and he smelled of smoke.I said did you smoke,he said yes.I found 1 in the car when I was cleaning it out.I had 5 puffs of a stale cigarette.I was so upset,he said don’t worry about it.But I am,I heard that can make you start again.
 
I am so sorry to hear that… My father had COPD. I pray for your husband… That Christ will
give him strength to stop smoking.

that it’s NEVER TOO LATE.
God loves you BOTH, and can deliver you from

Thanks everyone for your prayers.Sad to say my husband has gone back to smoking full time.He had tried everything but his will to stop is weak.So I am going to just pray for his health every day !

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Smoker with copd). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Smoker with copd’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
