Hi! This is my first post to the forums and I have a question that I have been contemplating lately…hoping I can receive advice!

I am 18 years old and a college student. I enjoy the occasional cigarillo (mini cigar) - I am talking about VERY occasional (once a month or so while with visiting with friends). I know this is something my parents would absolutely not approve of so I never tell them and never do it around/near them. While the action itself is not inherently immoral according to Catholic teaching (done in moderation), is it a sin that I do this even though my parents wouldn’t like it? Even though I am of legal age?

Thanks for the advice.

Welcome to CAF iaw, glad your here. You are of legal age & free to smoke if you wish.
If you are trying to stop (it is a very unhealthy & addictive habit), you may want to try the nicotine patches. They do work.

You are now old enough to make your own decisions, however regrettable they may be.

Thanks for the replies! I know it is a bad habit, but luckily I am not addicted.

God Bless
