“Saturday Night Live” cast member and Staten Island native Pete Davidson used his paid position at NBC on Saturday to make fun of his hometown and lecture restaurant owners protesting the latest COVID restrictions threatening their livelihoods. . . .

. . . “So I take it you found these protests frustrating?” asked his co-star, Colin Jost.

“Yeah, man, they’re making us look like babies,” Davidson said, before advocating that everyone stay at home.

After deputy sheriffs closed Mac’s Public House in Staten Island Tuesday night and arrested general manager Danny Presti, the pub reopened its doors Friday, in defiance of city and state restrictions on bars and restaurants.

Davidson, of course, made these comments from behind a desk in a cushy job where COVID lockdown orders have not impacted his source of income. In fact, The New York Times reported last week that “SNL” was able to find a loophole to keep their live studio audience indoors by paying them as “essential employees” of NBC. . . .

Hate to see that as the economic shut downs in Democrat states have been hard on many people. Hopefully a new economic stimulus can be passed soon that will help these people in need. The vaccines soon to be administered are likely to help too.

I saw a vide of a physician last night that highlighted hope on a COVID treatment he and others are working on. The doctor testified before the Senate yesterday I believe about the great success he and other are seeing with an already approved drug. Hope Dr. Kory is able to get the drug approved for wider use as that would not only help patients but also those hurting from the lock downs.

This is the key.

Treatment.

Ivermectin needs to be reviewed and opened up.

(Just like HCQ was never adequately reviewed. A bunch of irrelevant studies that call the proverbial Fire Department when the whole house is in flames. Nothing is going to work then on most people.)

I have posted several times about the apparent efficacy of ivermectin. And how the anecdotal evidence in treatment against corona virus is excellent (just like it is for HCQ).

Ivermectin too, needs institution EARLY.

The last time I posted about ivermectin was a few days ago here on CAF by a news outlet from the Dominican Republic.

Someone dismissed it out of hand calling the news source a “rag” suggesting MORE and even STRICTER lockdowns. (You can see that here and the “response” here.)

And that’s what you get from some of the “science” people. No serious discussion.

HCQ and Ivermectin BOTH need opening up for physicians and REAL studies done on them in the meantime.

Nice video. I believe it is Dr. Cory, he certainly feels good about the studies done and the results seen. Like what he said, Ivermectin should be the standard of care. I hope that is true and happens.
 
These doctors in those videos seem angry. They are convinced there is enough evidence to warrant treatment with this drug. I think they are sincere and they are putting their reputations on the line.

I don’t know a lot about this stuff but am I right to assume that my doctor won’t give me a prescription for this because it would be unethical for him to do so without some sort of FDA approval ?
 
Existing drugs are prescribed off label all the time … it just would depend on if your doctor has read the publication of Dr Cory and his other team members and found it compelling … if so - I am sure your doctor would write you the prescription

There is nothing unethical about physicians using drugs on their patients that are “off label”.

In fact ANY drug that physicians give these days for treatment of corona virus is “off label” (with one or two emergency approval exceptions).

Whether your doctor WOULD treat you or not . . . . is another thing.

As to my “advice”? I won’t get into any of that here other than the general statement: “Have a good doctor” for yourself.
