Anybody saw it?

I don’t shock easily but I was shocked by the opening act. Are we really to where child molestation is now a topic of humor?

Methinks this is going to be the equivalent of the Sinead O Connor act in the late 1900s (where she tore up a poster of HH JP2 on camera).

Any thoughts?

It isn’t new. I was horrified by the on-going child molestation “joke” in Airplane - which was made in 1980.

Wish I could forget it. 😦
 
This is no coincidence, they are using the same ‘tactics’ the LGBT crowd used back in the days, depict the act in a humorous and light way, so more people begin to accept it, or at least allow themselves to laugh at such a thing.

Ive always believed the powerful elite want pedophilia to be an accepted thing, some of the most powerful people in the world are top of the food chain in the child sex trade, they are high level CEOs, politicians, etc.

We have not watched SNL in over 25 years; I guess we are not missing much. 🤷
 
I didn’t watch SNL last night. What was it about the skit that alluded to child molestation?
 
I was half asleep when I hear Louis C.K. and I thought What? Is he actually saying that?

I just googled the monologue and watched it. It would be hard to describe. I would say he definitely pushed the envelope and I hope he didn’t open the door for others to follow. I found it inappropriate and evidently has already created controversy.

Why do I think if the neighbor’s name was “Father”, the audience would not have laughed?
 
I watched part of the Louis CK episode,but did not catch the first part, but really should any of us be surprised that SNL pushes the envelope? They have doing things like this for decades.

Have to keep in mind, most of the people involved in SNL come from stand up comedy, or broadway/ live stage shows, lots of people in this community are homosexual /bisexual, and are also VERY liberal, many are atheists as well.
 
What’s unthinkable is that someone wrote that and thought it was funny. Someone entered it into the teleprompter and didn’t think anything of it.

I didn’t catch the neighbor’s name was father? You mean he was insinuating he was a priest?!
 
I don’t really know who this Louis CK is, but a very liberal friend of mine stopped watching his show when his character attempted or actually did rape another character. “Pamela, Part 1.” The follow-up episode had her sodomizing him.

I have no words. I’m an SNL fan but haven’t watched in years and years. Not regretting it. I miss the show up through Phil Hartman being there. 😦
