We don’t have any snow here (for a change) but since Mommybug47 sent all the cold air from Wisconsin over the lake, it’s FREEZING here. I don’t expect flowers blooming or anything, but one hopes that by March, there would at least be a hint of spring. Nope.
Does MD have any plows or salt or is everyone just going to slide all over?

Central Virginia. . .we’ve hardly had any all year except the one night in February when somebody set off a small grease fire and the whole complex had to turn out and stand amid the falling snow for an hour from 1 to 2 a.m… . .hope that doesn’t happen again tonight! We have an inch so far–ugh.

Well none here, but we had rain, tornado watches & winds today with 30-40 mile an hour gusts. Tonight’s low is 32 & the meterologists said that if the rain would have stayed around we most likely would have had some flurries. About an hour north near Waycross, Georgia, they had some snow. Yesterday it was 80 degrees here, but that’s typical up & down weather for Feb-March.

Well it’s snowing here and we’re supposed to get a foot and a half, but that’s not really such a shock in New Hampshire. I still have pictures here somewhere of snow piled up to the eaves after a March storm a couple of years ago - had to be between 2004 and 2008 because I took them to send to a child who was away at school The good thing about March snowstorms is that no matter how much we get, it melts pretty quickly.

Ugh, snowing here in Columbia, MD. I have a project due at work in two weeks, and one in school due on Friday. Snow means schools will be closed for the muchkin tomorrow, which will put me way behind.
Just a month ago they shut down all the schools for gasp almost an inch of snow!
Here’s an announcement from earlier for those who care:
A wx conference call was held at 3:00pm todays date. The NWS is predicting the storm to start around 8:00pm with heaviest snowfall between 9:00pm and 3:00 am. The storm is expected to end early tomorrow morning. There are 7"-10" ( inches) of snow expected to fall. After snow ends winds will increase to 40 MPH. This will be a wet snow so drifting snow should not be a problem however, the heavy snow on trees may cause trees to drop on to power lines. DPW Highways is aware of the situation
OEM is expecting to be operating at Level 1 status starting at 7:00 pm this evening.

10:45pm local time. Richmond, VA and we have about 4-5". It’s supposed to start snowing again around 2 or 3am and keep snowing until 11am. This is the first real snow we’ve had in 2 years.
VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University) is closed until 11am tomorrow. no class!

My wife isn’t liking things much. Last week my pre-K daughter had 3 days off due to half day end of marking period days for normal school system and parent teacher conferences. Now she has today off and probably tomorrow.

I wonder if there were so many half days when I went to elementary school. I certainly don’t remember many.

I work in McLean, VA, and we are basically all working from home. I have a conference call in the morning to get everyone set on what they are dong and then we IM or call during the day if we need to talk.
The roads are finally looking a little better in the traffic cams, but it’s all going to freeze hard tonight. Oh, goody. I hope the call school early like they did last night.
