I ask for prayers for my forgiveness to myself. To feel good in my own skin and be able to live the life that God wants me to live. I started feeling this way a couple weeks ago when my doctor told me I had genital warts, I couldn’t believe it and I wanted to crawl under a rock me the virgin who is scared of doing it because of std’s because I’m scared of giving my all to someone. I felt like such a hypocrite. My abstinence just happened, it wasn’t a promise to god it was just something that grew on me but I did have 2 boyfriends in my past. And we’ll things happened when I dated but it never occurred to me I can have that. Anyways because of my lust because I’m a dirty person I couldn’t keep this list away and now I pay the price. I just ask for prayers to accept this and move on. To pray to God for forgiveness to keep lust away and don’t fall into temptation. That is what I get when I play with fire when I can’t respect myself. It sounds so dumb I feel stupid and I still can’t believe it. I’ll be going to the doc on the 18th of this month to get a biopsy and confirm its genital warts. Your prayers mean a lot. And with lots of embarrassment from the bottom of my heart thank you.

My humble prayer I offer up to Jesus and Mary for you. Do remember how merciful and loving Jesus was to any person who came to Him in humility and faith, asking for forgiveness.

He loves you, much with any defect or mistake! "Repentance is a great virtue, trust in Jesus’ healing and forgiveness, as you give him all of your distress and anxiety in this situation.

Have you ever read the Psalms? They are a great comfort in distress, especially Psalm 51

Have mercy on me, Oh Lord, in the greatness of your compassion etc . . .

Have you been to confession? I would recommend this if you haven’t gone. Highly. Do now be embarressed as many more than you think have had this happen to them. The priest who listens to confessions has heard everything… God is so very merciful toward those who are sincere in their confession and so ready to forgive and give you the grace to live in Him…He awaits your coming to Him within this Holy Sacrament! My prayers for you.

Jazz91 - you are not a “dirty person” you are created in the very image and likeness of God, and so have inherent dignity.

Confession will make you feel cleaner and better about yourself.

Having confessed your sins to a Priest, God will most certainly forgive you. We know as Catholics that sin sometimes can carry consequences that feel severe or heavy. Without knowing it though, these scars often carry a secret gift, that can steer our actions into a better state of living, or closeness to God. This is our cross to carry. The cross that Christ carried was much heavier than the ones that you and I carry. Keeping that in mind will help.

Pain and suffering is one of the great motivators that can move us closer to God than we could ever imagine possible. This is not to say that we cannot have love and joy in our lives, but this is a state that comes when we strike a good balance in our lives as Christians.

The flesh is weak it is said, and that is true, however as a Catholic, while we become truly aware of the reality of the high bar we are all called for to conform to, but at the very same time, we are given a unique set of tools to help us attain that high standard that others do not often have access to. The Eucharist, Mass, the Rosary, confession, prayers and so much more.

Forgiveness from God can be yours, it is now up to you to forgive yourself. Satan would prefer that you not do this. He would rather you stay under that rock and not come out or worse. A better plan would be to forgive yourself, vow to do better and become an advocate for others who share your woes. Immerse yourself in the Holy Spirit and seek the true joys of life that come with doing so.

I will include you in my prayer intentions.

PS: Explore Mary, mother of God, become devoted to her, she has a very special place in our religion, which is too often understated and misunderstood. She has much to offer and we owe her a great deal.

Hello,

Many Prayers for you. The beast seeks you to despair. To have you punish yourself over and over. That is my experience. I Pray for all healing for you. St Gemma Galgani is one who through Christ has helped this poor sinner by Christ allowing me to explore her life and struggles. You are not dirty as the others said. I am a broken person in much need of Christ every moment of every day. God Bless you and will Pray for you.

Hi,

The previous posters have given you great advice. Go to Confession and forgive yourself. This will bring you much peace and healing.

Be aware that often, those types of warts, often resolve over time and the virus leaves the body for good. Check with your doctor.

The Lord loves you unconditionally! There is much grace in the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Mary Magdalene was a great sinner, and by the grace of God which is available to all of us, she became a great saint.

God bless you richly!

Thank you all so much for your words. I still have to confess haven’t done it because it always frightenes me but I will do it soon. I went to the doctor yesterday they did a biopsy and my doctor said it might now ever be warts. I’m more at peace now just leaving everything in his hands I know he won’t ever give me nothing I can’t handle. And pray that it isn’t warts. Made me realize that saving myself for marriage and abstaining from everything is my best option and makes me happier even when at times I feel lonely. If God wants me for marriage it will come in his time because his timing is perfect. Thanks you all for your words 🙂
