Also, I’ve heard of people leaving them in someone’s house or sewing them into something of that person’s so that person can receive the graces from them even if they don’t know they’re coming from that source. Is that all superstition or does it have some kind of basis in Church teaching/pious tradition?
I have a few people who I think would make excellent Catholics but aren’t there (they’re already interesting Christians - since talking about conversions of famous people is against the rules, I’m not saying who they are). Because they’re famous, I will only have the opportunity to speak to them for five minutes of their lives, and I think that words would be the least effective thing to help convert them (after all, when somebody else is as strong in their belief as you are, you need months, not minutes). This is why I’m asking.
