*But You can research for it and you’ll see that the Church has been faithful in keeping the Apostles’ teachings and Traditions. *
One of the marks of the true Church is that it be Apostolic (one, holy, catholic and apostolic). Now, it looks like there are many teachings today which are opposed or contrary to what was taught in Apostolic times. I mentioned already the question of women’s headcovering and women teaching in church. But there are other things also, which lead some traditional Catholics to question whether or not the Apostolic teachings are being adhered to. Take for example the present day Catholic teaching on marriage annulments. to declare a marriage annulled on the basis of the soft psychological grounds being quoted today, is not even how the Church was teaching on this issue in 1930, when there were only 9 annulments granted in the whole USA. IS there really anyone here who will assert that the present day teaching of the Catholic Church on marriage annulments is the same today as it was in apostolic times? There are reports that in the USA today, just about anyone can get a marriage annulment, and questions on the marriage annulment process were even brought up by Pope John Paul II in his address to the Roman Rota.
So the question is this: Is the present day teaching of the Catholic Church on marriage annulments, the same teaching as was in effect at the time of the Apostles?
