yea…i have a few friends that are wiccan. they’re not like huge witches or anything like that, they just happen to be interested in wicca, and they do practice a little bit of magic. they’re not bad people though, actually there some of the nicest, most open minded people ive ever met, and currently they are two of my dearest friends.

i’m not trying to justify their ‘religion’ (if you could call it that) personally i’d never touch a single spell book or even think about doing magic, im just making sure its ok to be around them.

the thing is, their not exaclty engulfed in it right now, they’re just on the edge, and i think they see me as some sort of Religous teacher or at least someone who knows a descent deal about spiritual matters, so im thinking that once the oppurtunity arises i can get them to have a change of heart. i believe if i leave them, they will only slip further into this

a quick note, im rather confident in my faith in God, and i do not fear that magic will harm me as i know He will protect me, so i do not see myself as being in danger

so the question: can i keep associating with them?

Of course you can be around them. Being a faithful Catholic you have the shinning light of Christ in your heart. Let that light shine where it is dark. What you want to avoid is partaking in any of their beliefs or practices. Even if you don’t believe in it, don’t try any of it if they ask you to for any reason.

Now it would be to your advantage to continue to study up on the Catholic faith, even the well educated priest and bishops out there still have a lot to learn. If you don’t know something ask here. If they ask you something that you don’t know, find out.

Of course you can still associate with them. I had (and still have) the same problem, but in my case the girl is using Wicca to justify her sinful behavior with “casual sexual partners”. All we can do is be there for them when they fail and show the light of Christ to them at every opportunity we get.

yes, of course. i have some friends at work who are Neo-Pagan, very nice, decent people. very wrong and misguided, but very nice.

the best thing to do is to treat them kindly, as you would like to be treated. and, in Christ, to reflect Christian values and living to them, and be prepared also to speak about what you believe, and why.
