So is it impossible to argue against same-sex marriage?

Charitable?
I am a only relatively new to the CAF, and I see plenty of hate and harshness here.

And plenty of judgement too.

It seems that there is a lack of Christian standards on here from some posters.

And it is not helpful to continue to post and identical post over and over.
Please cite examples. Thanks.

How is allowing gay marriage humane treatment for homosexuals?
It’s not.

There’s a large faction making a lot of noise, wanting everyone to believe that it is.

We are in no way obligated to ‘tolerate’ evil. There can never be any such thing as homosexual marriage, and it’s part of their agenda to so confuse the issue that soon no one will know right from wrong.

You know, I’ve been gay all my life and nobody has given me my copy of the agenda yet…I must have missed the meeting.

Can you point to any evidence that gay people are asking the Catholic church to accept homosexual marriage? I’ve seen plenty of requests for secular acceptance, but I truly haven’t seen anyone trying to get the Catholic church or any other church that thinks homosexuals are evil to accept homosexual marriage.

Here is your very own copy:
The 1972 Gay Rights Platform

Free Republic??? Hardly a credible source.

I didn’t bother asking, but just for fun-what were the sources for your “gay agenda” documents? I’m thinking they didn’t come from the Human Rights Campaign either…

You can google the Communist Maifesto yourself. Read what it has to say. Then the ACLU. You can read it all for yourself. Just because the freerepublic summarizes it does not invalidate the truth.

Very helpful, as long as no one discovers the link. It doesn’t cover the observation of homosexuality in animals that they are arguing now, though.
I have not read threw this whole thed yet but I’m going to have to respond to this

I have noticed the tendency in me boxer who likes to hump my leg. I wonder if its natural for them to want to hump humans if then there would be anything wrong with humping animals that show tendencies towards me?

Hey who’s to say people are not born attracted to dogs or chickens

No one is saying that people are born that way, it’s just that the possibility that it isn’t natural. Leg-humping is just a behavior.

There is no singular source for the gay agenda, but it doesn’t mean one doesn’t exist. You have been given documents that helped to shaped political activism. One more that I can think of is the book “After the Ball”.

You’d have to ask the homosexuals that are interested in getting married. I’m not one of them.
But if you believe in the Church’s teaching on the subject then you should already know the answer. The Church teaches us why we should live a certain way rather than imposing it on anyone and that is why the Church’s teaching is absolutely relevent in secular society.

The teachings for the Church are for everyone, gay or straight, not just practicing Catholics. To leave this question to the “homosexuals that are interested in getting married” is not charitable IMHO.

It is no accident that these groups are starting to “educate” churches - first comes tolerance, then acceptance, then mainstreaming of the agenda which will include acceptance, by force if necessary, of gay marriage into churches.

There are reports of gay marriages taking place in churches right now, including the “marriage” of two gay priests in the Anglican church.

This is all methodical and carefully calculated. To say otherwise is naive at best. It is political activism, and as said in the book “After the Ball” it takes decades but this “equality” will be done. These activists will stop at nothing less.

The last I checked, we still lived in a country that has no established religion. No matter how strongly you believe that everyone must obey Church teachings it just isn’t true. We can, and should share our faith with others, but we cannot enshrine any of our Church laws into Civil law.

I know why I have chosen not to live as an active homosexual and I have shared that with my gay friends-but I will not support making it a civil law that everyone else must do the same. If they don’t come to that decision of their own accord, it is worth nothing.

I understand but for those who use this argument with animals that have tendencies to hump the same sex isn’t very reliable when they will hump near about anything

Are the only sources for the “Gay Agenda” groups that hate gay people to start with?

It’s as credible a source as any you seem to hold dear.
