“I know who You are – the Holy One of God!!”
I have a big imagination for this story. It’s as if I can watch
a movie of it in my head. It is so frightening and powerful
that I don’t see why Jesus had to work any other miracles
after that.
Today is the day of St. Hilary, defender against the Arian
heresy. That means that Jesus is not God, but a mere
creation, like us. He wrote 12 books on the Trinity. For
the people living in Jesus’ time, they just had to watch
the above miracle to know. The funny thing is, St. Hilary’s
gospel has nothing to do with the Trinity. It is Matthew 5:16,
which says among other things, that we should let our light
shine so that when people see our good works, they will
glorify God. It’s a far cry from not letting our right hand know
what our left is doing, huh?
