Today’s gospel is the shortest one ever! For me, it raises 2
questions:
#1 - Where is Jesus’ home? I know it is in Capernaum, but
I want to know who owns it, and everyone’s name that
lives there.
#2 - About the relatives who set out to seize Him, thinking He
was out of His mind. They will arrive this Tuesday,
January 27th. When they get there, it will be said that
the group includes His mother and His brothers. The
question is this: Did Mary think Jesus was out of His mind?
Or not? Was she undecided? All 3 possibilities, so
which one was it, and what was her purpose in being there?
Today is the day of St. Francis de Sales, who fought Calvinism,
among other things he did.
On the national calendars, it is also the day of Our Lady of Peace
