There are many who fear God and act uprightly in other countries and other
religions. Protestants, Muslims, & Jews come to mind.
What about the Buddists or Hindus? Are they God-fearing people?
I have now met some Hindu people. I don’t know why, but they believe in God.
I always thought Hindus believed in a thousand Gods, but I haven’t asked them
about this yet.
Later on in the first reading, it talks about the household of Cornelius receiving the
Holy Spirit. Peter said, “they have received the Holy Spirit just as much as we have”.
They were proclaiming God and speaking strange lanuguages. When did the
strange languages stop happening at Confirmations?
“Everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God”. These words from the
second reading make me wonder, Is there love in hell? I have actually asked this
question before, and the general consensus was “No, it is impossible to love in
hell”. But, if someone loves others, then they die, where does the love go unless
they go to heaven?
“…go out and bear fruit,…then the Father will give you anything you ask…”
But we can’t just bear fruit, it only happens through the power of God.
I really have learned not to ask for things anyway, God already does what’s best…
