I’ve heard of 3 different kinds of grace: sanctifying, sacramental, actual

Sanctifying grace is what sanctifies our souls for heaven, right? How do we receive sanctifying grace?

I know sacramental grace is the grace we receive from the sacraments. What is the purpose of it?

I have know clue what actual grace is. Could someone explain this?

There are only two types of grace, actual and sanctifying.

The simplest explanation is from the Baltimore Catechism. Click on:
catholicity.com/baltimore-catechism/lesson09.html
and start with #109.

To add explanation after explanation, yet come out with the same simple answer, you can also refer to the adult version of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. There is an online version with search capabilities. Click on:
scborromeo.org/ccc.htm

The book Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma by Dr. Ludwig Ott goes into a good explanation of grace and what kinds there are. It was a bit too complex to type here, I would recommend looking into it. I am currently studying that part, and I find it complex to try to understand it. I am praying for the grace ot understand it.

God bless.
