I had a total hysterectomy with removal of both ovaries. Unfortunately, ovarian cancer can return even without the ovaries present. I have a type called “clear cell”, which is very aggressive and might not respond to chemo, but that is the only treatment available now. I’ve looked into clinical trials and went for a 2nd opinion at a top notch institution, but no luck. What kind of cancer do you have? I’ll be praying for you, too.

I need a miracle, so that I can go back to raising my 3 kids. My hope lies in prayer more than anything. A heartfelt thanks to all of you for your prayers.

I’m sorry you are having to go thru this, most especially as you have children who I am sure still need you and want you around. I’m in the same situation. I have children who need me and I would like to stay around for them.

I look on the bright side, knowing my life may be ending has alerted me and I get to prepare. I much rather know my time on earth is short than to just die from a heart attack unexpectedly. It’s a bit of a blessing. I am working on leaving things organized for my sons as much as I can.

In the cancer multi-billion dollar industry, you need to be assertive and advocate for yourself. This much I’ve learned. I was still waiting for the first treatment to be scheduled five months after I detected a small lump which had by then grown immensely and spread; so I just switched medical centers. The center I switched to ranks #1 in another area but in oncology is a complete nightmare and does not rank at all (no wonder). I am now starting at another facility in a couple of weeks and it is the first one I go to which actually ranks for oncology and it is one of the tops. I don’t expect much, but I expect for them to do their job properly and in a timely manner. Pretty much all the facilities need to by law provide the ‘standard treatment’ if they want to keep their licenses.

I read everything available on the net regarding my cancer, and I suggest you do the same for yourself. Don’t put people on a pedestal and expect them to do everything right, you need to look out for yourself. I learned, for instance, that the receptors of my cancer feed on sugar - so I have cut down and I try to starve them. I just do my on little side thing to help my body as there is no cure meaning by which if it comes back (which I think it has) it will be chemo resistant and it is not caused by hormones. A lot of cancers are ‘curable’ because the hormone levels can be controlled, for the cancer cell that are being caused by high hormone levels. Well, mine are developing due to the high acid in my body and they feed on sugar. So, I check my Ph and I try to lower the acid but it is not easy. Cancer cells tend to develop in an acidic environment. I don’t know which one of the things I tried worked, but the tumor shrunk to half its side so the surgery was actually changed to a ‘smaller’ surgery since the tumor had shrunk. Aside from those things that I do I noted above and this due to my particular cancer; I munch on apricot seeds and I mix a little baking soda with something (molasses, honey, a glass of water and lemon). I say, learn about the receptors of the cancer and find out what they are feeding on and deprive them.

Cancers are called by the the area they first appear, but this does not necessarily distinguish them.
