So scared my cancer treatment is not working

I went to my oncologist today, and according to my most recent lab work, my blood tumor marker went down significantly. That is a good sign! It’s still higher than normal but I really, really hope it continues downward. That would mean that the chemo is working!
We don’t know why I still have so much abdominal fluid buildup and pain, though (that’s a very bad sign), so my doctor ordered a CT scan to be done after this cycle of chemo. Hopefully it will give us answers.
I have some hope now, and I want to thank each and every one of you for your prayers!

I’m so devastated, angry, and scared…
Last Tuesday, my doctor told me that my tumor marker had dropped down to 35 (almost normal!) I did think it was odd (because my abdominal pain had been getting worse), but that gave me hope! I was in high spirits the past couple of days and it seemed like things were finally starting to look up.
Early this morning, I received a report from the lab, saying that my tumor marker in fact doubled to 176! So my cancer is still growing strong. It turned out that my doctor had the wrong information, and passed it along to me. So I had false hope, only to have it yanked from me. It hurts so much…
I wish I could know what God’s will is. If His will is that I won’t heal from this, I need the courage to accept it.
Thank you all for your prayers. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.
