So scared my cancer treatment is not working

My CT scan confirmed my fears. Not only is the chemotherapy not working, but my cancer has spread. It is growing quickly and aggressively.
I don’t know what God’s will is, but I surrender to it, whatever it may be. Please pray that He’ll give me the strength to carry my cross because it’s weight is crushing me.

I am sorry your hopes were raised only to be let down. That’s tough. Yours is a heavy cross to carry, ask Jesus to help you. Ask Him to be your Simon of Cyrene. 😃

What a beautiful bouquet of prayers are being offered for you here on CAF. I laughed when someone prayed a litany, and then someone else followed with a novena. It reminded me of my childhood when people would visit and share their problems. When it was a big problem, someone would say - this calls for a litany! Or, this calls for a novena! Well, your situation, unfortunately, calls for litanies and novenas and the simple prayers that come from the heart. I like the one of Jesus, I trust in you, take care of everything.

It’s tough Anthony(name removed by moderator). :console: Fortunately, thru this venue we are able to come together and hold you up in prayers. :grouphug: The internet is great, specially when used to pray for one another. Aside from praying for you and your children, I read a little on clear cell ovarian cancer.

I don’t know if you can afford much, but, if you are financially independent, there may be something else you can try. I happened to have learned of a secret cancer ‘experiment’ by chance. I was at a hotel with my children for the weekend. Where we were living we had an outhouse. I made some money and thought to give them a break. They enjoyed the pool and the buffet etc… At the fancy hotel (my favorite of all times) there was a small group of people. This was out of the USA. We got to sharing given I spoke English etc… It didn’t take long before they told me the reason they were there. They had all just met each other the evening before and had arrived from different parts of the USA. They told me they all had terminal cancer. The woman was sad because she had a seven-year-old daughter and really hoped the ‘treatment’ would work on her. The way it works without giving it away, as I am not even supposed to write about this; is that they do the treatment one day and then they have you return the next day when they check you for cancer cells. It’s a three-day trip. Well, sadly, the woman told me even before I left the hotel; that the treatment worked on the two men but not on her. That was sad. But, I am just thinking that if you have money you can look into it. In order to be accepted you need to be referred by a USA certified oncologist and have incurable cancer. They need the data for the FDA to be certified in the USA and that is what they are trying to obtain, but the requirements is decades and a certain quantity of patients. I don’t know how much they charge and you need to be able to afford a hotel and a round trip ticket. The insurance would not cover it as it is outside of the USA. I just thought to mention this.

Of course, the other thing I would recommend is Lourdes. Miracles still happen in Lourdes, and if the Virgin Mary does not cure you, you may be fortified spiritually.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
