Sunday evening I watched a TV program on hunger, people out of work, forcing kids to lose everything, living in cheap motels or cars and going to bed hungry at night. This was in South Florida, but I imagine it could have been in any city, USA.
So if you are wondering what to do, find a way to help the poor and the hungry of this great country. Find a food bank, give them food, time or money depending on your situation. Is their a homeless day shelter nearby, take them food, make sandwiches, go and help. Just DO SOMETHING!
Remember many of the homeless and hungry did have jobs and a home at one time.

Don’t stop at Easter, the homeless need food every day of the year. In the Gospel today Jesus tells us to give alms. Please help if you can, and just about everyone can help someone else.
