So what is... "STD" as listed after the translators of my bible?

It must be some kind of either theological or linguistic degree, but I can’t figure it out. After almost every name on the list of translators of my NAB, it says STD (along with a few other degrees, like Ph.D and stuff). And I think: sexually transmitted disease. But it’s got to be some kind of academic degree. Can someone put my wandering mind to rest?

Well, in the manufacturing world we have Mil-STD. Which stands for Military standards. Whenever I see that STD mark after the fellas name I always think of “Standard”.
