From time to time ones senses a GREAT DEAL of Animosity towards Jesus and or God or both. I frankly find this this a bit strange, because it seems logical that one would have to have some knowledge of a person in order to have grounds to dislike them; and for the hatred at times evident here, one would think [that darn old logic thing again] that one would have to know or know of a person quite well to so strongly dislike them?

So what’s the BEEF? Did [does] God offend you in some way?

Now I excluse racism as it’s just DUMB. NO one picks there race so its illlogical to dislike one solely or primarly because of race or color!

I’m not sure people’s animosity are toward Jesus or God…I think it’s the portrayal of the Father and the Son by those who claim to follow God that most people have issue with.

In my own experience…and I am the first to admit my experience is far from exhaustive…when animosity or “hatred” is exhibited toward God it is because of some wrong or slight toward the person by a professed follower of Christ.

I spoken to people who’ve said “I don’t believe in God”…I ask them “What is it about God you don’t believe in?” Then they list the things they’ve been taught…and usually my response is “I don’t blame you for not believing in that god…I don’t believe in that kind of god either.”…and a civil and polite discussion usually follows.

You wrote “From time to time ones senses a GREAT DEAL of Animosity towards Jesus and or God or both.”

"and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved. " (Mt 10:22)

We all despise the perfection of the Truth because we are broken, especially when it reveals our weakness. We surely don’t want to face our own failures when we can blame someone else!!!

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora pro Nobis Peccatoribus!
