Hey everyone,

So, I am not a super-crunchy mama. But, I am trying to make some changes to more environmentally friendly cleaning products (i.e. vinegar and water, baking soda, etc. in lieu of harsh cleaners.) I even started making our own laundry soap earlier this year.

Anyway, I ran across an article about soapnuts. Has anyone heard of these? Tried them? The website even said you can make household cleaners out of them.

I do know that this website was plugging their own website for selling the item. So, I googled them and didn’t see too many negative things about them.

I am really curious to try this out. But, I want to have all of my research done and testimonials before I bring it up to DH.

I’d like to figure out the cost per load on laundry and the effectiveness for making your own cleaning solution. Also, I am curious if making your own cleaning solution, you’d have streaks or what have you.

So far, of the sites I have checked seems to be an affiliate generating revenue. Of course, I haven’t checked out much during the past few days.
