Just wanted to check in. Some time ago there was a thread similar to this, had no luck in searching so I figured I would begin a new one.

I’m a Sober Catholic out of Massachusetts with a little over three years sober, how about you?

I’m not a recovering alcoholic, but I’ve dealt with alcoholism in my family. I just wanted to congratulate both of you and let you know I’ll offer a prayer for your continued sobriety. 👍 :crossrc: :grouphug:

welcome to the forums, you do have a lot of company here, including those of us who survived alcoholic families (more or less). Servant of God Matt Talbott, pray for us.

HEY THERE! My sobriety date: May 4, 1992…I turned Sweet Sixteen this year!

I’m an ex-party animal and daily drinker of beer, who, for the last eight years, has limited himself to two beers per week, on Satuday nights, when out for dinner with his wife. Looking back on the ‘bad old’ days of constant beer-guzzling, I can’t believe I ever lived that way. I thank God for the detour leading me away from that slow self-destruction He placed before me.
