Social Justice is not just a political subject it also means Collective Salvation

I think I saw where a thread was canceled because Social Justice is an outside issue, given that Social Justice is an in-road for churches to teach Collective Salvation, which is an attack on everything that Christ lived and died for, I don’t understand why a Social Justice thread would be blocked by the moderators.

Collective Salvation, like the Gnostics, is a very old idea dating back to the 3rd century [AD] its basic premise is that the individual cannot be saved by Christ through an individual’s decision to turn their life and will over to Jesus and living their life by His teachings. Rather the individual must turn their life over to and work for the collective group and their salvation. If the collective isn’t saved then neither is an individual.

There are churches in the USA that have adopted this principal, I believe it’s important to talk about this so that no one falls for the Social Justice/Collective Salvation trap. In essence it’s another argument for an egalitarian society that has no need for God thus our Saviour died for no purpose.

I don’t want to mention any names but I will say that the other anointed one’s career has been getting groomed for a top slot in the corporation since the early 90’s, about the same time that PC became the unabridged version of not so free speech such that no one in in the 08 campaign could talk about this person’s background, beliefs and ultimate goal – One World Government [Save that of Dave Ayers]. And maybe I’ve missed something but I’ve yet to hear anyone who supports this New World Order who is a follower of Christ, so yes, I believe it to be communism also.

Hmmm… I remember PBS broadcasting an LF speech back about then and he said that “It’s not in us to do you what you did to us.” And it sounds like we’ve done much the same research.

I’ve yet to hear anything from the moderators so perhaps I misunderstood what I saw, sometimes I get so involved that I forget to refresh IE so CAF ends my login and I can’t find my way back to where I was. But then that’s the price to pay for such a gifted BLOG with so many users in the era of cost cutting. And while I can see that “Social Justice” is an outside issue, sort of, I do think people need to know it’s inextricably linked with Collective Salvation which, as God gives me the light to see things by, is NOT an outside subject.

This strikes me as not a little over the top, and Dinesh D’Souza nowadays is treated with some gentle skepticism for his extreme views about Obama.

Social justice is a requirement of Christian life. We have a duty to others, but this must be tempered by a full concern for each individual’s long-term interest. I much dislike Obama’s policies, but I can’t for this reason toss the baby out with the bathwater.

I regret my own remarks that helped let this thread become, in part, about a single group and or individual/s; my original question was about a post I saw where I thought the moderators were banning a thread on social justice. Yes it is true that that as disciples of Christ one of our missions is about justice for all – but in our case our “agent” for change is God – and not government forcing an egalitarian society upon us. Which is what I understand to be the modern meaning of Social Justice.

My original concern was that barring discussion of Social Justice could lead to censoring discussion of Collective Salvation and I believe my concerns/questions have been answered, save one – it has been mentioned that this might not be the proper place to put this thread – where should I have posted the thread?

Thanks to those for thoughtful discussion of these questions.

I don’t know what your description of your religion means, but the term Social Justice is a Catholic term coined by a Catholic priest in the mid-1800s and has nothing to do with the collective salvation preached by some Protestants.
