I was looking at the website for the Institute of Christ the King and they have a section for laymen talking about the Society of the Sacred Heart. I am a big fan of the Patrons of the Society (being St. Francis de Sales and St. Thomas Aquinas). I looked at the description, but is there anyone who belongs to this society that can tell me of their experiences?

The only one I know of (and am a member of) is the one regarding not driving like an irresponsible idiot or something along those lines (my confessor recommended it to me).

Its a lay society and I think you have to attend a meeting every year when they gather at the minmum and they welcome all inquires at an email adress. Just search the Institute on google, follow the website etc.

Im discerning a vocation to them (among other groups), not the lay society but the actual institue as a Priest, so please pray for me

I just emailed them an inquiry about the Society. They don’t appear to have apostolates in Southern California but there are two in Northern California, which is presumably where the required annual retreats would take place.

I sent an email also, but no response yet.

I know that there are some people in this society at the Institute’s St. Francis de Sales parish in St. Louis. Perhaps you could look at the website for that church and gain some information.
